Facebook : Are You Working Your Business Page Like You Should Be?

The two most visited websites are Google and Facebook and the second one is seen as the "must have" asset for businesses. Why? Because Facebook is a tool that lets you connect with your potential customers directly and almost personally. It is the B2C connection because customers can have a direct means of contacting a business.

When it comes to B2B connecting, though, marketers still haven't adopted the social site. Why? Well, the effectiveness seems to be missing. But that may be that businesses haven't learned how to market Facebook properly.

So if you don't have a Facebook page for your company, or you aren't seeing anything significant coming from your page, the question is, are you marketing your Facebook page to fullest possibility?
Let's take a look at a few things you need to be doing to use this dynamic platform to increase brand awareness among other businesses, especially your competitors and vendors.

The First Step

Create an intriguing Facebook page. This is the first thing your existing and potential customers will see and is the simplest thing to do. Start by creating a profile by finding two pictures. You'll need a 32px x 32px for the company's profile image. Then you need an 851px by 315px for the cover photo.
These are the first thing that is seen by visitors to your Facebook page, so it is a big deal. Remember good high-resolution quality graphics will be the reflection of your business on Facebook.

Now, complete the business information. This includes what your company is all about, a way to contact you, your days and hours of business, your method of payment and anything that describes your company. This is not something that you need to rush through after all... it is what will make an impression on visitors about your company.

Now What?

Now that you have your company Facebook page, the next step is to fill the page with content. You want to good quality stuff so that when visitors see your Facebook page, they will want to "like" the page!

Use images and videos that will create an environment that is so dynamic, visitors will want to contact your company, or at the very least, visit your website. You should post something on Facebook a minimum of 3 days a week.

Why?

Well, the internet is your 24/7/365 employee and Facebook is always there. So by posting on a regular basis with content that is fun, informative, interesting, and intriguing, you can be interacting with visitors whenever they are on Facebook.

Studies have found that by posting one or two time each day gets the most interaction with followers. You can set goals on your Facebook page that tracks your failures and successes with the content that you posting. Use this information to find out what visitors to your page want to see. Don't be posting just to be active.

And remember, your existing customers, potential customers, and suppliers, vendors, and even your competitors are scanning Social Media all day, every day, year round. So you can pre-schedule posts for holidays and weekends and not have to be on Facebook 24/7/365 yourself. Whew!
Competitors and Vendors

This next step can be done with the step above simultaneously as your Facebook page progresses. Start by searching Facebook for your suppliers and vendors. Look for your customer's Facebook page and industry news, trade magazines, and vendors. Then like their page and comment on their posts from your company's Facebook page.

This Is B2B Social Media Strategy

B2C Facebook pages wait for the existing and potential customers to come, more-or-less. It is easier to just advertise in the store actually. But for a business, B2B marketing gives you the ability to connect with other businesses pages to promote your brand, products, and services as well as share content.

By interacting with your competitors, suppliers, and vendors on Facebook, you will also gain other followers that will have an interest in your business too. When the fans of your competitors, suppliers, and vendors pages notice your interaction with them, they will look at your activity on your Facebook page and when they see content that is of interest to them, they'll click that "like" button and begin following your company too.

Keep the Content Going

You have to continue posting content on your Facebook page and you need to share the content from the pages you have liked and follow too. This will allow you to continue to form an environment that nurtures discussion on your Facebook page.

Remember, that content is king whether it is on your company website or your company's social platforms. In addition to a Facebook page, you should have a Google+ page, a LinkedIn Page, a Twitter page and whatever other social media platforms your competitors, existing and potential customers, suppliers, and vendors use.

Keep the content high quality, informative and interesting or people won't follow you on any social media platform. In addition to that quality content, use your social media platforms for advertising too. These are great places to post contests, deals, and sweepstakes.
